With Earl King and Becky Kury to boot! The whole show is on fire. If you don't like this one, I can't help ya.

A Rads show from 79 is a treat all ready and all the great guests on this are more than a little something extra. I guess this would have to be the 1st anniversary show?

Subject: Some Further Info...
I am not sure if the posted version is the same as mine but I will check.

The was recorded by Tim Clary and he shared it with me in 1982 when I convinced him to allow me to copy (cassette to cassette) his masters from the 1979 and 1980 Birthday Parties from Tipitina's.

I will have to check on some other early Rads shows he lent me with that batch as well...

Subject: Old Rolled Rad Gold - 'Fess, Earl & Becky, too!
An early recording of the Radiators is worth its weight in gold. I downloaded this to hear them with the 'Fess and Earl King, and it's worth it for that; but the vocals of the late Becky Kury are worth the download effort alone. I had never heard her sing, but I had heard of her as being of member of the Rhapsodizers along with Clark Vreeland, Ed Volker, Camille Baudoin and Frank Bua. I got goose bumps listening to her sing Steal Away. This is an awesome set. Download it now. Play it now. You won't regret it.

Subject: Wow, Wow and more Wow
I was compelled by the early date, but this is worth it for the FESS. This is the only "taper" action I have with any Fess, and I have goosebumps just listening to his voice right now. Thank you so much!

I'm not sure if any Rads fans realize the significance of this show....I give this 5 stars for its historic value alone!

Tipitina's 2nd Birthday Celebration

Lots of tape flips, cuts, hiss and buzzes in weird places.
I cleaned it the best I could.
